Garth Brooks Refund Details Announced
Ticketmaster has released details for those who bought tickets for the five cancelled Garth Brooks concerts that were to be staged in Dublin later this month.
The US country singer sold 400,000 tickets for the gigs at Croke Park stadium. In January, two concerts were initially announced, but demand led organisers to add an extra three nights.
But Dublin City Council would only approve licensing for three of the Croke Park concerts. On Tuesday, concert promoters Aiken announced that all five shows would not go ahead.
Mr Brooks is quoted as having said playing two out of the five nights "would be like asking to choose one child over another".
Information on obtaining a refund is available via the Ticketmaster website.
A statement from Northern Ireland's public transport providers Translink said: "As we have now been advised by concert promoters that all Garth Brooks concerts scheduled for late July have been cancelled, we will be refunding customers who had booked to travel with us to these concerts on our special coach and rail services.
"We will be contacting customers in the coming days regarding refunds."
