Garth Brooks Refunds Begin

Ticketmaster is due to being the process of refunding the 400,000 cancelled Garth Brooks tickets, in an operation the company has described as "unprecedented".

The ticketing company has said that customers who bought tickets online or by phone do not need to do anything to obtain their refunds. The money, including service charges, will be automatically repaid to the card used to make the purchase.

While the process will begin today, it also cautioned that customers should allow up to ten days for the refund to reach their account.

People who bought tickets in person from Ticketmaster ticket centres, need to fill out and return a refund form, which is available from ticketmaster.ie/gbrefunds.

Those who purchased tickets from unauthorised tickets sellers need to contact the original seller to arrange a refund.

A last-minute effort to save the shows failed on Wednesday night, when Dublin City Council refused to allow an uncontested High Court action to overturn the original licencing decision.
