Acts Confirmed For 'MTV Crashes Derry'
Professor Green and MNEK have been confirmed as the first two acts to appear at the 'MTV Crashes Derry - Londonderry' next month.
10,000 people are expected to turn up at Ebrington Square on 19 September for the event, which will be broadcast MTV's flagship UK music TV channels, MTV MUSIC and MTV LIVE HD.
Professor Green said: "I am just excited to get out on that stage, I love performing, that’s what it’s all about for me, so I’m looking forward to sharing my tracks with this Derry audience and seeing their reaction at MTV Crashes!"
MNEK said: "I am looking forward to getting out there and performing alongside Professor Green at MTV Crashes Derry, I think it’s going to be a good one and hopefully we will well and truly crash it!"
Mayor of L'Derry, Councillor Brenda Stevenson, added: "This is a huge coup for the city and fantastic news for popular music fans across the city and region who are hugely excited about attending a weekend of fantastic music celebration at Ebrington.
"We are delighted to be working with MTV to announce additional acts in the coming weeks and look forward to hosting another hugely successful legacy event as part of Music City 2014."
