Man Arrested In England Over Belfast Murders
A 57-year-old man has been arrested in England by Detectives from the PSNI Serious Crime Branch investigating the Belfast murders of Gary Convie and Eamon Fox in May 1994 and of Sean McParland in February the same year.
55-year-old Mr McParland was shot in Skegoniel Avenue in north Belfast on 17 February while babysitting and died a week later. 24-year-old Gary Convie and 44-year-old Eamon Fox were sitting in their car at a building site in North Queen Street on 17 May 1994 when a gunman opened fire with a submachine gun.
Police arrested the suspect in the Newport Pagnell area with assistance from Thames Valley Police. He is currently being questioned at a police station in southern England. A property is also being searched in the Newport Pagnell area.
Detectives conducted the arrests as part of Operation Stafford, an investigation into a series of murders and other serious crimes by the UVF in north Belfast

Police foil attempted kidnapping and robbery
Two men have been arrested following an attempted kidnapping and robbery in north Belfast earlier today. A quantity of cash was recovered by officers during the operation to foil the kidnap and robbery plot, which was launched by police last night. No one was injured during the incident. There are no further details.

A leading north Belfast loyalist is being held for questioning by police in connection with serious crime. Ihab Shoukri, 32, was arrested yesterday and is being questioned at the serious crime suite in Antrim.

Two men have been arrested following the discovery of a woman's body in the boot of a car in north Belfast early this morning. Police made the find after receiving a tip-off about suspicious activity in the Skegoneil Avenue area just after 1am.

Man Charged Over Murder Of Anne O'Neill
A 27-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Anne ONeill. The 51-year-old victim died from her injuries following an incident at a house in the Ardmore Avenue area in Finaghy on Saturday, 21 October. The suspect is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 25 October.

Police Use Of Tasers Was 'Lawful' And 'Necessary' - Report
Ten incidents in which police fired Tasers between July 2012 and June last year were "justified", a Police Ombudsman report has concluded. Dr Michael Maguire found that the use of Taser had on each occasion been lawful, proportionate and necessary given the risks faced by officers and the danger posed to members of the public.
