Further Weather Warning For NI Issued
The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for most of Northern Ireland.
The warning was published shortly after 10am on Wednesday morning (8 October) and lasts until 9pm.
Counties Antrim, Armagh, Down, Londonderry and Tyrone are all affected.
In a statement, the Met Office said scattered and heavy thundery showers would spread throughout the province and become more persistent throughout the afternoon.
There is a risk of localised surface water flooding in areas, while there is also a chance of thunder and hail.
The forecaster explained: "An increasingly unstable air mass will spread north across the Irish Sea today, and with south-easterly winds developing across Northern Ireland, heavy and thundery showers will be blown inland across the eastern side of the province in particular."
