Police Appeal After Suspected Hit-And-Run In West Belfast
A woman is currently in hospital with head injuries after a suspected hit-and-run in west Belfast.
The 49-year-old was found lying at the side of the Whiterock Road on Thursday evening.
Inspector Roy Burnside said: "She is being treated in hospital for a fractured skull amongst other serious injuries which may be consistent with a possible hit and run RTC.
"I would appeal to anyone who may have travelled along this road between 6.30pm and 7.30pm and witnessed or has any information in relation to an incident or saw the lady walking or lying at the side of the road to contact them on 101."

Appeal After Man Found Seriously Injured Lying In A Road
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses after a man was found lying on a road in Magherafelt with serious injuries in the early hours of today, 20th May. Police have said that officers on mobile patrol in the Moneymore Road area at around 2.15am discovered the man lying on the road, injured and unconscious.
