Man Charged With Making Threats To Kill
A 30-year-old man has been charged with making threats to kill.
He has also been charged with disorderly behaviour.
He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court today.
The charges relate to an incident which occurred at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast over the weekend, following the fatal shooting of Edward Gibson.
Mr Gibson was shot in Clonfaddan Crescent, in the Divis area, on Friday (24 October) at around 5.10pm. It is understood he was shot in the thigh and stomach. The 28-year-old died from his injuries in the early hours of Saturday morning. Police have said half an hour before the shooting happened, an "altercation" took place on nearby Albert Street.
At the Royal Victoria Hospital, the 30-year-old man received hospital treatment for stab wounds. Detectives believe the incidents are linked.
A 33-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were also arrested shortly after the incident, but have since been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service. Another man, aged 57, is still being questioned by police.
