Adair's wife takes Bolton Council to court
The wife of jailed loyalist, Johnny Adair has taken an English council to court today after it refused her a house.
Gina Adair fled to Bolton in England alongside a number of her husband's supporters following an internal UDA feud.
However her time in England has not run smoothly. Having moved into temporary accommodation shortly in Bolton shortly afterwards, a number of shots were fired into her home by opponents of her husband.
Then local residents made it clear they wanted Gina and her kids out of the area because of fear that further strikes could take place.
Finally she was refused a house by Bolton council on account of information supplied by Manchester police that members of the Adair household were engaged in various types of "anti-social and unacceptable behaviour" in Belfast.
In her defence, housing charity Shelter, which is fighting Mrs Adair's case, told Manchester's civil courts today she should not have been refused a council house because there was no evidence that Mrs Adair herself had been involved in such anti-social behaviour.
Gina Adair was not in court today to hear the case which is likely to last two days.

Adair granted leave for review of jail decision
Notorious loyalist Johnny Adair’s legal bid to overturn an order by the Secretary of State sending him back to prison passed its first hurdle in the Belfast High Court today. After hearing legal argument, Mr Justice Kerr ruled that Adair could apply for a judicial review of Mr Murphy's decision.

Adair due in court over harrassment charge
Former UDA leader Johnny Adair is to appear before a court in Bolton today accused of harassment. Adair, who was released from jail in January, will appear before magistrates in Greater Manchester alongside William Woods who faces two counts of harassment and one charge of common assault.

Adair refused bail in harassment case
Former UDA leader Johnny Adair has been refused bail following an application to Bolton Magistrates' Court on Thursday. The case relates to an incident in which Adair, 41, and William Woods, 37, are accused of harassment. The incident is alleged to have taken place outside a launderette in Halliwell Road, Bolton, close to where both men reside.
