NI Film Scoops BAFTA
A short film made in Northern Ireland has won its category at this year's BAFTA awards.
'Boogaloo and Graham' is directed by Michael Lennox and written by Ronan Blaney. It follows two young Belfast boys in the 1970s who learn the facts of life aided by their pet chickens.
The film won the 'Best Short Film' prize and has also been nominated for an Oscar.
NI Arts Minister Carál Ní Chuilín said: "This is another great success for the local film industry and through NI Screen I am delighted that we have been able to help in the creation of this short film production. I commend everyone involved in its making and in particular pay tribute to director Michael Lennox, writer Ronan Blaney and producer Brian Falconer.
"This success builds on our proud reputation in the creative industries sector and I hope that this is just the start of a few great weeks for 'Boogaloo and Graham' as it hopes to complete a ‘double’ by picking up an Oscar, for which it is also nominated."

DfI Outlines Congestion Mitigation Measures In Belfast City Centre
The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has announced a series of measures aimed at alleviating traffic congestion in Belfast City Centre. A strategic oversight group, comprising the DfI, Belfast City Council, PSNI, and Translink, has been formed to identify and implement effective solutions to reduce peak-time delays.
