Vehicle Hijacked In North Belfast
A hijacked vehicle has crashed into the front of a house in north Belfast.
The incident occurred on the Antrim Road on Wednesday evening.
A man armed with a knife pulled open the door of the care and ordered the driver into the passenger seat. The hijacker attempted to drive off in the car but collided with the garden wall a short distance away. He then ran from the vehicle.
Detective Sergeant Kenneth Leckey said: "The owner of the car, who was still in the vehicle when it collided with the wall, was left shaken but was not injured. The hijacker is described as around 25 years old and was wearing a grey and blue top with grey bottoms. Or alternatively information about this crime can be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111."
