Car hijacked in north Belfast

A man has been injured during the hijacking of a car in north Belfast.

The incident occurred at around 8.25pm on Thursday evening when the hijacker pulled the man from his vehicle in Fortwilliam Park and then drove off in the direction of the Antrim Road. The victim sustained minor cuts and bruises.

The hijacker was described as being in his early 20s and was wearing a Burberry style hat.

Police have appealed for any witnesses who saw the incident to come forward. The hijacked vehicle a black Honda Civic, registration number AEZ 4328 has not yet been found.

Vehicle Hijacked In North Belfast
A hijacked vehicle has crashed into the front of a house in north Belfast. The incident occurred on the Antrim Road on Wednesday evening. A man armed with a knife pulled open the door of the care and ordered the driver into the passenger seat. The hijacker attempted to drive off in the car but collided with the garden wall a short distance away.

Fast Food Delivery Vehicle Hijacked In Belfast
A fast food delivery driver had his vehicle hijacked in Belfast last night, it has emerged. The incident occurred in North Queen Street at around 10.45pm on Monday 13 May. The driver was making a delivery when he was ordered to get out of his vehicle, a blue Volkswagen Polo. The hijacker then made off in the car.
