Police investigate separate abductions
Police are appealing for information following two separate abduction attempts in Belfast and Lurgan last night.
In Belfast an 11-year-old girl escaped the clutches of a man who attempted to drag her into a car in the east of the city after asking for directions. The girl was riding her bike along Parkgate Avenue shortly before 7pm when the incident occurred. The man is described as being in his mid to late 30s with short, dark hair and of stocky build. He was driving a white car.
In Lurgan, a 10-year-old boy was offered sweets by man who attempted to lure him into his car. The boy was walking along the Portadown Road at around 8pm last night when the incident took place. When the boy refused and ran off the man drove off in the direction of the old Portadown Road.
The man is believed to be in his 20s and was driving a black car which had a spoiler, alloy wheels and a larger than normal exhaust.
Anyone with information relating to these attempted abduction have been asked to contact police.

Police in west Belfast have appealed for information after a child was approached by a man under suspicious circumstances at the weekend. The incident happened at around 4.50pm on Saturday, when a nine-year-old boy was walking towards his home along Riverdale Park East.

Masked man attempts to abduct girl
Police have appealed for any witnesses to an attempted abduction in west Belfast at the weekend. A nine-year-old girl was standing outside a house at Laurel Bank in Poleglass at around 10pm on Saturday when she was grabbed by a masked man. The girl managed to break free from his grip and ran inside the house.

Police Cancel Appeal For Missing Omagh Man
Police have said they believe missing Omagh man, Shane Sharkey, has been found in the Republic of Ireland. A police appeal for help in finding the 35-year-old has been cancelled, with police saying they now believe they know where he is. No further details have been released but police thanked the public for their help.

Man Dies In Co L'Derry House Fire
A man aged in his 50s has died in a house fire in Magherafelt, Co L'Derry An investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire at a house on Highfield Road, however police said that they don't believe the fire was suspicious. The man's identity has not yet been released.
