Man Suffers Serious Head Injury In Coleraine Assault
A man has been seriously injured following an attack in Coleraine on Sunday.
The 27-year-old man received a serious head injury during the incident on the Castlerock Road.
He is currently being treated in hospital.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Ulster University has secured almost £20million of EU funding to lead three major UK and cross-border research projects. The funding was awarded through the European Union's INTERREG VA Programme. It will be used to help the university advance its research globally in personalised medicine, renewable energy and connected health technology.

County Armagh man dies following road accident
A County Armagh man has died after he fell from the back of a jeep in County Louth. Stephen Rice, aged 27, from Crossmaglen, died in hospital following the accident which occured at around 10:30am on Sunday at Rassan in County Louth. It is understood that the victim had suffered a serious head injury after he fell from the back of the vehicle.

A man has suffered a serious head injury during disturbances outside shops near a community interface in north Belfast. The victim was reportedly attacked outside Ardoyne shops near the junction of Twaddell Avenue shortly before 10pm.

Man rescued from burning flats
A man has escaped serious injury after being rescued from burning flats in south Belfast on Monday night. The man, who was later treated for smoke inhalation, was rescued from the building in Camden Street after the fire took hold on the ground floor.

Shootings Probed
There have been two shootings – one on either side of the border - over the last few days, most recently when a men and a woman escaped serious injury after shots were fired at a house in Coleraine, County Londonderry. Two shots were fired into the living room and a bedroom of a house at Ashdale in the Harpur's Hill area on Sunday evening.
