Boy Injured In Ballymena House Attack

A 15-month-old boy has been injured after a brick was thrown through the window of a house in Ballymena on Wednesday night.

The infant was in the living room when the incident occurred at a property on the Moat Road at around 11.30pm.

Paramedics treated the boy at the scene, however he did not need to be taken to hospital.

A petrol bomb was also thrown at the house in the early hours of Thursday morning while workmen were repairing the window.

The device ignited close to the door but the flames were put out and no-one was hurt, according to the police.

The occupants of a dark coloured car are believed to have been involved in the incident.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
