Woman Robs Off-Licence In East Belfast
Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman robbed an off-licence in east Belfast at knifepoint on Tuesday night.
The incident occurred at approximately 11.40pm at premises on the Gilnahirk Road.
The robber engaged in a conversation with a female shop assistant before producing a knife and demanding money.
She made off on foot with a sum of cash.
She is described as being in her 50's or 60's, of medium build and her upper front teeth were missing.
She was wearing a black wide-rimmed 'wedding' style hat, black sunglasses, a black short sleeved blouse with a white floral pattern and black leather gloves.
Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Petrol bombers besiege Lurgan police station
A crowd throwing bricks, bottles and petrol bombs attacked Lurgan police station at around 8.45pm last night. The disturbance followed in the wake of a banned Black Preceptory parade through the town, which the police were reportedly forced to allow through when a lorry driver refused to move his vehicle from a cordoned off area.

Elderly Woman's Handbag Stolen In East Belfast
Police are appealing for information after an elderly woman had her handbag stolen from her car in east Belfast. The incident happened on the Castlereagh Road at around 1.55pm on Monday, 26 September. The woman had placed her handbag at the back of her vehicle when a man opened the rear door and made off in the direction of Ravensdale Street.

New Black Taxi Jobs Announced
Funding to create 26 new Black Taxi driver jobs has been announced by Sinn Féin Councillor Ciaran Beattie. Cllr Beattie posted the news to his Facebook, and it is understood that the funding has been secured through Belfast City Council. A jobs fair for hopeful drivers will be held at Cultúrlann on 01 February.
