Westland Horticulture To Create 70 New Jobs
Westland Horticulture has announced it is to create 70 new jobs in Dungannon as part of a £9.6 million expansion.
The firm recently developed a new fertiliser manufacturing plant at Invest NI's Dungannon Business Park. It is also investing in new machinery and equipment, as well as a training and development programme.
Enterprise Minister Johnathan Bell said: "This hugely significant investment by Westland Horticulture cements the company's commitment to Northern Ireland and to its Dungannon-based workforce.
"The new fertiliser manufacturing plant will enable Westland to position itself as the leader in a very dynamic and fast moving sector. The 70 new jobs will provide a substantial boost to Dungannon and wider Tyrone area, contributing £2.1 million annually to the local economy."
Invest NI has offered the company £1.5million of support, including £669,729 through its Skills Growth Programme.

NI Peer Dies In Helicopter Crash
Northern Ireland peer Lord Ballyedmond has been killed along with three other men in a helicopter crash in England. The aircraft came down last night in thick fog in Norfolk near the stately home of Edward Haughey, who became Lord Ballyedmond in 2004.
