Man Arrested In Connection with Armed Robbery
Police have arrested a man in connection with a cash-in-transit van robbery in Coleraine on Saturday.
Two men, one armed with a gun, the other with a crowbar, threatened the van driver in the Riverside Retail Park at around 1.45pm.
They made off with a cashbox.
Officers investigating the armed robbery detained the arrested male in the Drumtarsey area a short time later. He remains in police custody.
Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Police are appealing for information following an attempted armed robbery at a shop in Ballymena, Co Antrim. The incident occurred at a shop in the Larne Road area just after 7.40pm on Wednesday. A masked man armed with a knife demanded a staff member to open the till. However, the employee threw water over him and he made off empty handed.

Robber’s gun jams during Castlewellan hold-up
During an armed robbery in a County Down shop, a 19-year-old woman has had a gun held to her head and the trigger pulled several times without the gun firing. The incident occurred when a masked man brandishing a gun burst into McAnulty’s store in Castlewellan’s main street on Wednesday March 27 around 11.20pm.
