Woman Killed Following Crash On M2 Northbound

A female pedestrian has been killed following a crash with a bus on a motorway in Belfast.

The M2 northbound between Sandyknowles and Greencastle was closed this morning which caused major traffic delays.

Inspector Rosie Leach said: The circumstances of the collision, which occurred just before 6am, are now under investigation and we are keen to hear from witnesses."

The M2 has now been reopened.

No further details have been released.

Motorists are suffering long delays on their commute into Belfast this morning following two separate collisions on the M2. The first incident, which occurred at around 8am on Wednesday 09 January, has been cleared onto the hard shoulder. A PSNI spokesperson confirmed that there were no reports of any injuries in the two vehicle collision.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the M2 motorway outside Belfast on Sunday, 22 July. A man has died following the five-vehicle collision, which occurred on the M2 near Duncrue just before 4pm yesterday.

Man Killed In Co Antrim Road Crash Named
A man who died in a collision in Co Antrim has been named. 21-year-old Dylan O'Kane was killed following a three-vehicle crash on the Coolkeeran Road in Armoy at around 10pm on Sunday, 07 May. Three men, all aged in their 20s, were taken to hospital to be treated for their injuries. The road has since been re-opened.

Traffic: M2 Crash Causing Long Tailbacks
The PSNI has warned of long motorway delays this morning following a crash on the M2. The incident happened between Antrim and Glengormley during the Monday rush hour. A police spokesperson said: "Motorists should expect long tailbacks on the M2 motorway heading southbound following a road traffic collision between Antrim and Glengormley.

Teenager Killed In L'Derry Crash
A teenage girl has died in a car accident in L'Derry. The two-vehicle crash occurred at around 5pm on Sunday. The 13-year-old is believed to have been from County Donegal. The road has been re-opened.
