NIAS Calls For Motorists To Be Extremely Cautious
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) is calling on motorists to be extremely cautious on the roads after two of its vehicles were involved in separate road crashes on Wednesday.
One ambulance overturned in Portrush shortly before 9am and the firefighters had to cut a passenger from the vehicle using specialist equipment.
The ambulance collided with a van on the Atlantic Road.
The patient and ambulance crew are being treated at Causeway Hospital, however their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
In a separate incident another ambulance was involved in a crash on the Shore Road in Whiteabbey.
No-one was hurt in the incident, however the driver is being treated at the Royal Victoria Hospital.

Police Investigate Shooting Incident In L'Derry
Detectives are appealing for information after a young man was shot in the Creggan area on Wednesday night, November 27th. Shortly after 10:10 PM, police received a report that the man, in his late teens, had been shot in the leg. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Crash Horror On Roads
There has been further tragedy on the roads with news this morning that a man in his 30s has died following a traffic accident in Co Fermanagh. He was driving a car when it left the Ballyconnell Road, Derrylin, in the early hours of Monday, 28 June.

Pedestrian Dies Following Road Traffic Collision Ikn West Belfast
A female pedestrian in her 70s has tragically died following a road traffic collision in west Belfast on Saturday, 9th November. The incident occurred on Hannahstown Hill shortly after 6:50pm when two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle. Emergency services attended the scene, and the injured pedestrians were taken to hospital.

NI Ambulance Service Recruiting Helicopter Paramedics
Northern Ireland Ambulance Service is recruiting for new helicopter paramedics to be based at the Air Ambulance base at Maze Long Kesh in Lisburn and Emergency Ambulance Control at NIAS HQ in Belfast. Successful candidates will join the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) team which is made up of 15 doctors and seven paramedics.
