Man Slashed With Stanley Knife In North Belfast
A man driving a mobility scooter has been slashed with a knife in north Belfast.
The attack happened in the Peters Hill area on Tuesday at around 2.45pm.
Two males approached the victim and demanded money and cigarettes.
The man refused and one of the men slashed the victim twice on the arm with a stanley knife.
He handed over a sum of cash and both males made off on foot in the direction of the Lower Falls.
They are described as being aged in their early 20s; one was wearing a black baseball cap and the other a red coloured zip top. He had black hair and a moustache.
The man was treated in hospital for injuries to his arm, however they are not believed to be life threatening.
Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Man Slashed Across Face In Newry
A man has been slashed across the face during a serious assault in Newry. Police are investigating the incident that took place at around 2am on Saturday morning, 19 October. The 34-year-old victim was walking along Canal Street when a vehicle approached him at the Merchants Quay junction and two men emerged.

Police Justify Using Tasers In Five Incidents
The Police Ombudsman, Dr Michael Maguire, has found that police were justified in using Tasers during five incidents involving people armed with knives. Four involved people who were threatening to harm or kill themselves, the other involved a person who was using a knife to threaten his mother and sister.

North Belfast couple robbed at knifepoint
Police in north Belfast have appealed for information following an armed robbery in the early hours of this morning. Shortly after midnight, a man arrived home to his flat in the Cliftonville Avenue area of the city, and as he entered the property, was confronted by two males.
