Man Killed In Co Tyrone Crash

A male pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in Cookstown, Co Tyrone.

The incident occurred on the Lissan Road just before midnight on Monday.

The man was struck by a red Mercedes.

The road was closed, however, it has since been reopened.

Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

County Tyrone Farmer Fined Over Pollution Offences
A County Tyrone farmer has pleaded guilty and been fined £1,000, plus £15 offenders levy at Dungannon Magistrates Court for making a polluting discharge to a waterway. William Potter, Annaghquin Road, Cookstown, Co Tyrone, was fined for the offences on Friday.

Man Dies In Workplace Accident In Co Armagh
A man has died in a workplace accident in Co Armagh. It is believed the man was crushed by a road roller while a new road surface was being laid on the Bog Road, Forkhill, on Wednesday, 31 May. Police and the Health and Safety Executive have launched an investigation.
