UDA Responsible For Recent Bomb Attacks In Ahoghill
The PSNI has confirmed that the UDA was responsible for the recent bomb attacks in Ahoghill, Co Antrim, a Sinn Féin councillor has claimed.
North Antrim MLA Daithí McKay said he will raise the status of unionist paramilitary ceasefires with the local PSNI Commander.
Mr McKay said: "It has been well established that Unionist paramilitaries are involved in criminal activity, intimidation, extortion and drug dealing in the North Antrim constituency.
"The confirmation that the UDA is responsible for bomb attacks in the area, including those in Ahoghill recently, is only the latest evidence that unionist paramilitaries are active and a current threat to society.
"I will be seeking an assessment of current status of ceasefires and assurances from the PSNI Commander he is putting proper resources into combatting this criminality and protecting the community."

Man Arrested Over Loyalist Paramilitary Activity
A man has been arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation into loyalist paramilitary activity. The 36-year-old suspect is being held over activity in the south east Antrim area, according to the PSNI. He has been detained in custody and is helping officers with their enquiries.

Two arrested in connection with 'terrorist crime'
Two men have been arrested in County Londonderry, in connection with serious crime. The men were arrested in Bellaghy yesterday in connection with an investigation into suspected republican paramilitary criminality in the province. Meanwhile, a man has been arrested in County Armagh in relation to "dissident terrorist crime" in the area.
