Hamilton Signs Off £1.5m Funding For Specialist Drugs
The DUP's MLA has signed off on £1.5 million funding for specialist drugs in Northern Ireland.
He signed the plan when he was reinstated as health minister for a "matter of hours" on Wednesday.
The funding will include specialist drugs for cancer, however the Chief Executive of Cancer Focus NI, Roisin Foster, has cautiously welcomed the news but said "more is needed".
The DUP withdrew from the Executive last week after a bid to have the Stormont assembly adjourned was rejected in the wake of a murder linked to the IRA, however they were back in their posts for a short time on Wednesday.
