Man Convicted Of Benefit Fraud
A man has been convicted for claiming benefits he was not entitled to at Lisburn Magistrates' Court.
Christopher Foster, 35, claimed Jobseekers Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £3,120 while failing to declare employment. He was given a four month prison sentence suspended for two years.
He is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
Scarva Wins NI's 'Best Kept' Awards 2015
Scarva in County Down has been named 'Northern Ireland's Best Kept' Town, Village or City.
The Village will now go on to compete in the final of the All-Ireland Tidy Towns competition.
Environment Minister Mark H Durkan said: "I wish to commend Scarva on the fantastic achievement of being named as Northern Ireland’s overall 'Best Kept' Village Town or City. I would like to commend all within the village who helped to achieve such a coveted accolade. Full credit should be given to the Council and all the local volunteers who worked hard to bring out the best in the local environment."
Man Hits Parked Cars With Golf Club In Coleraine
Several cars were damaged in the Garvagh area in Coleraine in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A car stopped outside a row of houses and a man got out of the vehicle and began hitting several parked cars with a golf club.
SDLP Causeway Coast and Glens Councillor Roisin Loftus is calling on the public to be more vigilent.
She said: "Cars are very expensive to repair and this unexplained vandalism will be bad news for the owners.
"Exactly what the motive or rationale behind the damage is still unclear but I would encourage people in the area to remain vigilant and if anyone has any information regarding the incident they should contact the PSNI by phoning 101."

Man Charged After Glenarm Shooting
Detectives investigating the incident on Feystown Road on Monday, 25 November, have charged a 41-year-old man with attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, and criminal damage. The accused is due to appear at Ballymena Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday, 28 November.

Loughgall wins 'Best Kept' village
DOE Permanent Secretary Stephen Quinn has congratulated Loughgall on winning Ireland’s 'Best Kept' Award. Speaking in the Harbour Office, Corporation Square, Belfast, Mr Quinn said Loughgall was the winner of Ireland’s Best Kept Award 2002.

Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.

Attempted Carjacking In West Belfast
Police are investigating an attempted carjacking in west Belfast on Tuesday, November 19th. At around 5:30pm, a man entered a parked car at Hillhead Court and attempted to steal it. A woman passenger was assaulted when she resisted the man's demands. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s wearing all black, fled the scene on foot.
