Man Arrested And Cocaine Seized in Co Antrim
A 53-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the seizure of cocaine in Co Antrim.
Detective Inspector Alan Pyper from Reactive and Organised Crime Branch explains: "Police stopped a vehicle on the Dundrod Road, Nutts Corner at around 9.30pm last night and recovered a large quantity of suspected cocaine from the vehicle.
"At this time we put the value of the drugs in the region of about £60,000 however the substance will be subject to forensic testing.
The arrested man remains in police custody at present assisting police with their enquiries."

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Man Arrested Over Drugs Find
A man has been arrested after police discovered cocaine, cannabis and prescription drugs in Co L'Derry. A large sum of cash was also found during searches. The suspect has been detained in connection with importing drugs and is alleged to have attacked a police officer.

Woman Bailed Over £80k Drug Seizure
A woman has been bailed after being detained by detectives investigating the seizure of £80,000 of drugs in County Down earlier this week. In a PSNI search of commercial premises in Conlig, County Down on Monday, officers uncovered suspected amphetamines, cocaine, ecstasy tablets, a bulking agent and drugs paraphernalia.

Prison Officer 'Embarrassment' Over Drugs
The union representing prison officers in the Irish Republic has spoken of "embarrassment" over the arrest of a member in connection with drug smuggling. The prison officer was arrested yesterday morning at 7.30am on suspicion of smuggling drugs into Mountjoy Prison in Dublin.
