Laptops Stolen From Co Antrim School

Police are appealing for information after a number of laptops were stolen from a school in Co Antrim.

The incident is believed to have happened overnight in the Rathcoole Drive area of Newtownabbey.

Police received a report on Tuesday, 12 January, after staff noticed the laptops had gone missing.

Anyone who is offered a laptop under suspicious circumstances is being asked to contact the PSNI.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Medication stolen during robbery
Police in west Belfast are appealing for information following a burglary at a house in the Ardmona Parade area of the city. The break-in happened sometime last night, and was discovered just before 12.30am this morning.

Two Homes Burgled In Co Antrim
Police are investigating a possible link between two burglaries in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim. The incidents occurred at properties in the Glenville Manor area and in Abbeyhill Way between noon and 10.50pm on Saturday. A sum of cash was taken from both properties and a quantity of jewellery was also stolen.

Sensitive Laptops Stolen From Irish Revenue
A total of ten laptops, thought to contain sensitive information were stolen from the offices of the Irish Republic's Revenue Commissioner last night. Gardaí in Dublin said today they are investigating the theft of the laptops from the Dublin based offices.

Teenager Arrested After Two Police Officers Injured In Belfast
A 16-year-old girl has been arrested after two police officers were injured as trouble flared in Belfast overnight. Petrol bombs and masonry were thrown at the officers in the Woodvale Road area at around 12.50am on Wednesday. No petrol bombs made contact, however two police officers were injured after bottles were thrown at them.
