Balaclava-Clad Gang Ransack Belfast City Centre Home
PSNI Detectives are appealing for information following a burglary in Belfast city centre on Wednesday, 05 March. Four men, wearing balaclavas, gloves and dark clothing, entered a house in the Finchley Vale area at approximately 7.30pm.
According to police reports, the men ordered the male and female occupants of the property into the living room and told them to remain there while they ransacked the upstairs of the house.
After searching the property, the men left. At this stage, it is believed nothing was taken.
While neither occupant was physically injured during the incident, the female occupant was left "very shaken" by the ordeal.
Detective Sergeant Faulkner said: "An investigation is underway, and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area, or saw what happened, to get in touch. We would also appeal to anyone who might have captured any relevant dash cam footage to contact us."
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1466 of 05/03/2025. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org.

Man Assaulted In Aggravated Break-In
The occupant of a house in the Hillman Street area of north Belfast has been assaulted in a robbery by a gang of men. Detectives in Antrim Road are appealing for information following the aggravated burglary. At approximately 09:15 the house was forcibly entered by four masked men.

Man Seriously Injured In Newry Burglary
Police are investigating a serious assault that occurred in Newry on Monday, 16th December. Two men, disguised with umbrellas and high-visibility vests, forced their way into a property on Patrick Street around 4pm. A 30-year-old man inside the house was seriously injured in an altercation.

Laptops Stolen From Co Antrim School
Police are appealing for information after a number of laptops were stolen from a school in Co Antrim. The incident is believed to have happened overnight in the Rathcoole Drive area of Newtownabbey. Police received a report on Tuesday, 12 January, after staff noticed the laptops had gone missing.

Two Men Attacked In L'Derry
Two men have been attacked in L'Derry. It occurred in the Ballymagroarty area at around 8pm on Thursday. The victims, aged 25 and 26, were shot in the legs and are currently in hospital. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Man Left Shaken Following Distraction Burglary
Police in Newry are appealing for information after a man was left shaken following a distraction burglary. A man called to a house in Lower Dromore Road, Warrenpoint, and claimed to be from the council on Friday. The man took the male occupant of the house into the back garden.
