Two Arrested In Coleraine Drug Seizure
Two people have been arrested in connection with the production and sale of cocaine in Coleraine.
A 30-year-old woman and 34-year-old man have been arrested after police conducted searches at four addresses in Coleraine. At one of the addresses, a cocaine press and a large quantity of bulking agent was seized, alongside other items of drug paraphernalia.
Police said that the searches are part of an ongoing operation against an organised crime gang involved in the production and supply of cocaine.
Detective Inspector Tom McClure from Reactive and Organised Crime Branch said: "We have arrested a 30-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man on suspicion of a number of drugs offences including 'possession of class A drugs' and 'possession of class A drugs with intent to supply' as well as 'Conspiracy to supply Class A drugs' and 'being concerned in the production of class A drugs, namely cocaine.
"Both individuals remain in custody assisting us with our enquiries."

NI Drug Deaths Double
The number of drug related deaths registered each year has more than doubled over the last decade rising from 39 deaths in 1997 to 86 last year. The 86 fatalities were registered in Northern Ireland where the cause of death was drug related, either due to legal or illegal drugs.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a drug seizure made during a police search operation in Belfast. Officers from the Belfast Central Neighbourhood Policing Team and officers from the Paramilitary Crime Task seized a quantity of suspected Class A and Class C controlled drugs.
