Pair Arrested After Heroin Seized In Co Armagh
A man and woman have been arrested after police seized heroin, worth and estimated street value of £8,000, after they stopped and searched a vehicle in Co Armagh.
The car was stopped in the Church Street area in Poyntzpass on Wednesday night.
The suspects have been arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A controlled drug and possessing a class A controlled drug with intent to supply. They are currently being detained in police custody.
Detective Inspector Keith Gawley said: "We are determined to reduce the availability of this killer drug and I appeal to anyone who has any concerns or information about illegal drugs to contact their local police on the non-emergency number 101.
"Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Three Arrested And Drugs Seized In Joint Police Operation
Three people have been arrested and suspected Class A and B drugs, with an estimated street value of at least £80,000, have been seized as part of a joint operation between the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) and Merseyside Police. The arrests followed the interception of suspected Class A and Class B drugs by UK Border Force.
