Man Escapes Injury After Shots Fired At Flat In West Belfast
A man has escaped injury after a number of shots were fired at a flat in west Belfast.
The attack happened at a property in the Forfar Street area at around 10.30pm on Monday.
A number of shots were fired through the front door of the flat and police said they are investigating a motive for the incident.
Detective Inspector Pete Mullan is appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have noticed any suspicious activity to contact police in Musgrave on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Sinn Féin MLA Fra McCann said: "This shooting in Forfar Street was wrong and I totally condemn it.
"Thankfully no one was injured in this reckless gun attack when a number of shots were fired at the front door of a flat.
"There can be no place for guns in our society.
"The people who carried out this shooting have nothing to offer the community and beed to stop these actions immediately."

Police are appealing for information after a number of shots were fired at flats in Co Londonderry on Monday. The incident occurred at two flats in Harpur's Hill, Coleraine at around 9pm. No one was injured in the attack which saw shots fired at an upstairs and downstairs flat.

A number of shots have been fired at a flat in Coleraine. The incident occurred at a property in the Hazelbank Road area at around 23.30 on Wednesday night. Damage was caused to the living room and bedroom. No one was inside the property at the time of the attack.
