Man Charged Over Murder Of Paul McAuley

A 28-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Paul McCauley.

Mr McAuley died in a care facility in June last year, almost nine years after he was attacked in L'Derry.

The suspect has been charged with grievous bodily harm and attempted grievous bodily harm. He is to appear at Londonderry Magistrates Court later today, 07 April.

A 61-year-old man arrested in England on Wednesday has been charged with withholding information. He is to appear at Londonderry Court on 04 May.

A 27-year-old man who was being questioned by police has been released on bail pending a report being submitted to the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).

Man Charged With GBH Of Baby Girl
A man has appeared in court charged with causing grievous bodily harm of a baby. The baby girl, understood to be the man's three-month-old daughter, was admitted to Belfast's Royal Victoria Hospital on Wednesday. She remains in a critical condition.

Man Charged With Grievous Bodily Harm
A man has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent after a male was found seriously injured at a house in L'Derry. The incident happened at a property in the Sperrin Park area at around 8am on Sunday, 02 April. The injured man is being treated in hospital.

Man Charged Over £10,000 Drugs Seizure
A man has been charged with a number drugs offences in L'Derry. Police seized £10,000 worth of suspected ecstasy and cocaine during a house search in the Waterside area on Thursday. The suspect is to appear before Londonderry Magistrates Court today, 08 April. All charges are to be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).

Man On Trial Over Ear-Biting Attack
A man has gone on trial accused of biting off another man's ear. John Totten, 27, of Milebush Close in Belfast, appeared at Belfast Crown Court charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent. The incident occurred outside of the bar at the Bentra Golf Club, Whitehead, in July 2006.
