Two Men Fatally Shot In Dublin
A man from Northern Ireland has been killed in a shooting attack in Dublin.
The victim, aged in his 30s, was from Co Tyrone but lived in Dublin.
The attack happened at the Sunset House pub in Summerhill just after 9.30pm on Monday.
He was known to Gardai for involvement in dissident republicanism.
Two men are believed to have been involved in the incident and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
They made off in a silver coloured Audi A6 car which was later recovered and has been seized for technical examination.
Elsewhere, another man was also fatally shot in the Kilcronan area of Clondalkin just before midnight.
He is believed to have been known to gardai for involvement in drugs and burglary.
The first shooting is thought to be in connection with the Hutch Kinahan feud.
The gun attacks are not believed to be linked.
Fianna Fáil Justice spokesperson Niall Collins said: "Back in February, the Minister for Justice announced €5 million for a task force to tackle organised crime. Since then we have seen more violent killings as the war between feuding gangs escalates. This raises serious questions about the resources promised by Minister Fitzgerald. Has this money been drawn down, and if so, where is it being spent?
"Fianna Fáil has consistently raised concerns about Garda numbers and resources. The force has been seriously depleted and starved of funding needed to ensure that it can effectively target criminal activity."
