Police Appeal After Girl Targeted By Gang In Co L'Derry

Police are appealing for information after a teenage girl was left very badly shaken after being targeted by a gang in Co L'Derry.

Three or four men approached the girl as she sat at the front of her house. They set fire to an aerosol can which scorched her hair.

The incident happened in the Glenabbey Drive area on 14 April, however the details have just been released by the police.

The PSNI are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Pedestrian Injured In Belfast Hit-and-Run
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a hit-and-run incident in the Botanic Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of Thursday morning. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 1.30am after a male pedestrian was struck by a maroon Mazda. Despite being injured, the pedestrian left the area before police arrived.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

L'Derry Police Appeal For Information On Alleged Drink Spiking Incidents
Police in L'Derry have said they want to hear from anyone who believes that their drink could have been spiked while out in the city centre last weekend. The appeal has been issued after a teenage girl reportedly had her drink spiked while out on Foyle Street last Saturday. Police have said that the girl was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Girl, 12, Killed In Newry Beach Buggy Crash
A 12-year-old girl has died in a crash involving a beach buggy in Newry. The girl was travelling on the buggy with another 14-year-old girl when they collided with a pick-up trick at around 2.50pm on the Flagstaff Road in Cloughogue on Saturday, 18 November. The 12-year-old girl died from her injuries.
