Labour Shadow Northern Ireland Secretary Resigns
Labour Shadow Northern Ireland Secretary Vernon Coaker has resigned.
Mr Coaker resigned on Sunday, 26 June, as part of a protest at Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn's leadership over the EU referendum.
Alliance Leader David Ford said he will be missed.
Mr Ford said: "Regardless of the internal disputes within the Labour Party, I am very sad to see Vernon go.
"He has worked tirelessly for Northern Ireland over the years and was a good friend to all our people.
"He will be missed."

Employment levels in NI reach a new high
Employment in Northern Ireland has risen to a record high and the unemployment rate remains below the UK average, according to new figures. Seasonally adjusted figures for the period January to March 20074 estimate there were 776,000 people in employment in Northern Ireland – the highest figure on record.

Minister welcomes increase in NI jobs
Northern Ireland's Economy Minister, Maria Eagle has today welcomed the continuing growth in Northern Ireland jobs figures. The figures, which were released today, show that Northern Ireland has the highest number of jobs on record, and the unemployment rate remains below the UK average.

Northern Ireland Labour Relations Agency chairman appointed
The Northern Ireland Labour Relations Agency has announced Patrick McCartan as their new chairman. Mr McCartan succeeds the retiring Chairman, Professor Desmond Rea OBE, who currently presides over the 19-member Policing Board which supervises the new Police Service of Northern Ireland.

Slight Increase In Unemployment In NI
The unemployment rate in Northern Ireland has increased slightly, according to the latest Labour Market Survey. The current figure stands at 3.3%, up by 0.2% compared to last month. However, the figure is significantly below the rate compared to a year ago and lower than the UK average for the third consecutive quarter.

Drop In Unemployment Rate In NI
The number of unemployed people in Northern Ireland has fallen in the three months to January 2018, according to the latest Labour Market survey. The employment rate rose to 69.8%, however it remains below the UK average of 75.3%. The data was published by the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA).
