Colin Murray Resigns As talkSPORT Presenter

Northern Ireland man Colin Murray has resigned as a presenter on the radio station talkSPORT following a change in ownership.

News Corp is being bought over by the Wireless Group.

Mr Murray had been offered a new contract until 2019.

Is a statement he said: "While three are part sod News Corp that aren't a problem, it is the inevitable future working relationship between talkSPORT and The Sun that has made my position unsustainable.

"Commercially, I delivered all-time record ratings and, creatively, I was left alone to mould a show of which I was intensely proud.

"Sincere thanks to Scott, Liam, Steve, Dennie, Kathryn and those I've worked with, plus to my wonderful cast of c-presenters. I cannot thank you enough.

"Most importantly thanks for listening."

Mr Murray will host his last show on 02 September.
