Driver Arrested After Being Caught Doing Speeds In Excess Of 100mph
A driver has been arrested after police caught him driving at speeds of up to 100mph in Co Down.
Police in Bangor followed the vehicle on Monday night, 29 August, and the driver began driving very dangerously and almost collided with another vehicle.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "At the very minimum he was travelling at speeds in excess of 100mph. It wasn't therefore really a surprise when we turned a corner and the vehicle had crashed Into a wall and the driver had done a runner."
A police helicopter and dogs were used to search for the suspect who was arrested a short time later for having no driving licence and no insurance.
