Alliance Calls For Full Independent Cross-Border Nama Investigation
The Alliance Party is calling on the PSNI, the National Crime Agency and Gardai to carry out a full independent cross-border investigation over allegations of corruption in relation to Nama's Northern Ireland portfolio deal.
BBC Spotlight's latest investigation into the allegations around the £1 billion deal showed Frank Cushnahan in one case taking £40,000 from property developer John Miskelly during a meeting at a hospital car park in 2012. Mr Cushnahan has denied any wrongdoing, while Mr Miskelly stated any payments made by him have been "legitimate".
Alliance Deputy Leader Naomi Long said: "Allegations in the programme of political interference and corruption cannot be allowed to continue to fester, nor can the border be allowed to inhibit full investigation across both jurisdictions.
"As more allegations continue to emerge around the Nama deal and alleged improper political influence, the stench of corruption will continue to pollute the political environment and further undermine public confidence until it is fully and transparently investigated."

Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.

Pedestrian Dies Following Road Traffic Collision Ikn West Belfast
A female pedestrian in her 70s has tragically died following a road traffic collision in west Belfast on Saturday, 9th November. The incident occurred on Hannahstown Hill shortly after 6:50pm when two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle. Emergency services attended the scene, and the injured pedestrians were taken to hospital.

PSNI To Launch Investigation Over NAMA Deal
The PSNI are to launch a criminal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the sale of NAMA property to investment company Cerberus. Assistant Chief Constable Will Kerr said: "We believe that there is sufficient concern in relation to potential criminal activity, surrounding this property deal, to instigate an investigation.

Murder Investigation Launched Into Disappearance Of Damien Heagney
The PSNI's Major Investigation Team have launched a murder investigation into the disappearance of 47-year-old Damien Heagney from Cookstown. Mr Heagney was reported missing on Tuesday 19 July and police have said that they are "keeping an open mind" they now believe that he has been murdered.

Abuse Survivors Meet Cardinal Sean Brady
The Northern Ireland Survivors and Victims of Institutional Abuse group (Savia) are meeting Catholic primate Cardinal Sean Brady. They are seeking guarantees of his total co-operation with the forthcoming abuse inquiry in Northern Ireland. It is the first time that Cardinal Sean Brady has met the group of survivors.
