Police probe arson attack on Glengormley home
Police are investigating an arson attack on a house in Carnview Crescent in Glengormly, Co Antrim, this morning.
The incident occurred at around 5.15am when a petrol bomb hit and set fire to the front door of the house.
A man, a woman and their son who had been upstairs when the attack occurred escaped from the house through the back door. They were later treated for the effects of smoke inhalation.
The resulting blaze damaged the front door and spread to the hall before it was brought under control. The house suffered smoke damage.
Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact detectives in Newtownabbey.

House targeted in suspected petrol bomb attack
Police in Co Down are appealing for information following a suspected petrol bomb attack at a house in Saintfield. The incident occurred at a property on the Listooder Road at around 12.45am on Monday. Scorch damage was caused to the front door of the house and a door mat was also destroyed by the fire.
