Rangers Supporter From NI Killed In Bus Crash In Scotland

A Rangers supporter originally from Northern Ireland died after the bus he was travelling in was involved in a collision in Scotland.

Ryan Baird, aged 39, was killed after the supporters' bus crashed on the A76 at the Crossroads roundabout in East Ayrshire at around 1.15pm on Saturday, 01 October.

Mr Baird lived in Sanquhar in Dumfries and Galloway.

A further 18 people were taken to hospital and three are believed to be in a serious condition.

RangersLinfield FC tweeted: "We have been informed that the man who sadly passed away was a Rangers and Linfield fan named Ryan Baird from Larne, Northern Ireland, RIP!"

Rangers FC tweeted: "Rangers are deeply saddened to learn of a dreadful accident involving a coach carrying supporters to this afternoon's match at Ibrox."

Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.
