Police Hit Out At 'Idiots' Wearing Clown Masks In South Belfast

The PSNI sent in dogs to deal with a group of 'idiots' wearing clown masks who were jumping out in front of cars in south Belfast.

The incident happened in the Shaws Bridge area on Wednesday night, 13 October.

A police spokesperson said: "Officers from B Section and the Doggie Section were sent to Shaws Bridge in the early hours as there had been a report of a group of idiots wearing clown masks jumping out in front of cars.

Let that sink in. It's a wet and dark night and these morons were jumping out in front of cars on a 50mph dual carriageway wearing that mask.

"Unfortunately these fools got a fright of their own when they saw the Police dog and probably realised they wouldn't outrun a German Shepherd.

"Anyone who engages in this type of behaviour seriously need to grow up."

An investigation has been launched.
