Boy Struck By Car In East Belfast
A boy is being treated in hospital after being hit by a car in east Belfast.
The incident happened on the Upper Newtownards Road on Sunday, 16 October.
The boy is believed to be 10-years-old.
His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Booze Ruling Halts Asda's Store Plans
One of the world's largest supermarket groups has abandoned plans to open a second store in the north Belfast area - because it has been refused permission to sell alcohol. Asda has pulled out of plans for a branch at the old Hillview Retail Park on the Crumlin Road because "none of their branches operated without a beer, wine and spirits licence".

Sturgan Road Closed For Collision Investigation Tests
The Sturgan Road outside Camlough will be closed for several hours this evening, Wednesday, 05 March, as police conduct scene testing following a fatal collision. Officers from the PSNI's Collision Investigation Unit will be carrying out tests related to a single-vehicle collision on 27 October, 2023, in which a 16-year-old boy died.

Boy 'Critical' After Being Hit By Car In Co Down
A five-year-old boy has been seriously injured after he was hit by a car in Co Down. The incident happened in the Malcolmson Park area of Magheralin at around 4.45pm on Thursday, 12 January. The boy is believed to be in a critical condition at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast. The road has since been re-opened.

Accident victim receives £1m compensation
A Belfast boy knocked down by a car while playing on the Stewartstown road six years ago has been awarded over £1m in compensation. Matthew McCarty from Twinbrook, who appeared in court in a wheelchair, suffered serious injuries to his head and body when he was hit by a car.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a report of a serious assault on a teenage boy in the Beersbridge Road area of east Belfast. The incident occurred on Wednesday, 19 March, and was reported to police at approximately 5.50 pm. Detectives are treating the assault as grievous bodily harm with intent.
