Minister Confirms 'Constructive' Meeting With Union Over Potential Job Losses
Economy Minister Simon Hamiltion confirmed he had a "useful and constructive meeting" with members of union Unite over possible job losses at aerospace firm Bombardier.
Recently the company announced it is to cut its UK workforce by 7,500.
Minister Hamilton said: "While it's still not clear what the impact of this news will be for Bombardier staff in Northern Ireland, I stand ready with Unite to do anything that I can to safeguard jobs here.
"I will continue to take every opportunity available to me to highlight to senior decision makers in the company the strength of Bombardier's Northern Ireland operations and the skills of the local workforce."

DAERA Minister Confirms Commitment to Deposit Return Scheme
DAERA Minister Andrew Muir has reaffirmed his commitment to introducing a Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) in Northern Ireland. The DRS is designed to encourage recycling by offering a monetary incentive for returning single-use drinks containers. The scheme will cover PET plastic, steel, and aluminium containers ranging from 150ml to 3 litres.
