Man Hit By Firework In North Belfast
A man has sustained burn injuries after being hit by a firework at a fast food outlet in north Belfast.
The incident happened at premises in the Alliance Avenue area at around 9.15pm on Friday, 14 October.
An unknown man dropped the firework in the doorway and it hit another male.
He is currently being treated in hospital.
Detective Sergeant Michael Hawthorne said: "The firework has been identified as one from the ‘Heroes and Villains’ series, made by Bright Star.
“The manufacturer has not supplied this particular firework to any Northern Ireland outlets so I would ask anyone who knows anything about this type of firework in the local community to make contact with us and assist us in this investigation.
"I would also continue to appeal to anyone who knows anything else about this incident to contact detectives at Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1319 of 14/10/16."

A man has died after being struck by a car in Co Tyrone. The incident happened on the Killyman Road in Dungannon just before 8pm on Tuesday, 30 January. The vehicle failed to stop at the scene. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Hit On Head With Glass Bottle In Lisburn
Police have launched an investigation after a man was hit on the back of his head with a glass bottle in Lisburn. The incident happened in the Sloan and Young Street area at around 2.45am on Sunday, 16 October. The condition of the victim is unknown. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Boy injured during firework incident
Police in Newtownabbey are investigating the circumstances surrounding an incident in which a 15-year-old boy was burnt by a firework on Friday morning. It is understood that a firework was placed in the teenager's pocket and ignited during an incident at Glengormley High School in County Antrim.
