Man Charged With Murder Of James Hughes
A man has been charged with the murder of James Hughes in West Belfast at the weekend.
Mr Hughes was found dead at his flat on the 14th floor of Divis Tower on Sunday, 06 November.
A 42-year-old man arrested in connection with the murder is due to appear before Laganside Court today, Wednesday, 09 November.
Police said that while a suspect is to be charged with the murder, they were continuing to appeal for information on the case.
Detective Superintendent Kevin Geddes said: "Although a suspect has been charged, we are continuing to appeal for information and have widened the relevant appeal period.
"We now want to hear from anyone in Divis Tower who saw James Hughes or witnessed anything suspicious between Friday evening, 4 November and the evening of Sunday, 6 November to contact detectives at Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
"Alternatively if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Edward Meenan's body was discovered in an alleyway just off Creggan Street in the city at around 2.45am on Sunday 25 November. He had sustained significant injuries to his head and body. The investigation into his death has led to a number of arrests.
