Chief Executive Of Sport NI Dismissed
The Chief Executive of Sport NI has been dismissed.
Antoinette McKeown was suspended from her role in March last year.
An investigation was launched and a number of grievances were being looked into during her suspension.
In a statement Sport NI said: "Following a disciplinary process chief executive Antoinette McKeown has been dismissed, subject to appeal."
Ms McKeown was appointed the role in June 2013.

Weapons Seized During Co Tyrone Funeral
Three men have been arrested and a number of weapons seized following a disturbance at a funeral in Strabane. No serious injuries occurred during the incident at a church on the Melmount Road this morning, Thursday 27 February, however Stanley knives and a hatchet were among the items removed from the scene.

USPCA Sacks Chief Executive Over Gross Misconduct
Animal charity the Ulster Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (USPCA) has sacked its Chief Executive on the grounds of gross misconduct. The charity released a statement which said Mr Stephen Philpott was dismissed following a comprehensive, independent review and disciplinary hearing.

Scappaticci fails in court bid
The west Belfast man alleged in numerous Sunday newspapers to be the army spy 'Stakeknife' has failed in his court bid to have his name cleared through Security Minister, Jane Kennedy. Freddie Scappaticci, 59, wanted the High Court in Belfast to order Ms Kennedy to publicly comment on the allegations which appeared in local papers in May.

Chief Constable apologises for 'manner' of police raids
PSNI Chief Constable Hugh Orde has made an apology for the manner in which the raid on Sinn Féin's Stormont office was carried out. The Chief Constable said that he had reviewed footage of the raid and that with hindsight the Friday raid on the Stormont Sinn Féin office should have been conducted differently.
