Power Cut Affects Belfast Businesses
A number of shops in Belfast city centre were left without power due to a fault in an underground cable, NIE Networks has confirmed.
Many shops and businesses were affected by the power cut which happened on Wednesday afternoon, 04 January.
Power has now been restored to all properties.

Investigation Launched After Power Plant Explosion
An investigation has launched after an explosion at a biomass power plant in Co L'Derry. The incident happened at the Lishally biomass power plant on Sunday, 01 October. A steam pipe is believed to have ruptured and caused significant damage to a boiler room. Emergency services attended the scene.

Parties Fail To Meet Deadline To Restore Power Sharing In NI
Political parties in Northern Ireland have failed to meet the deadline to restore power sharing. A scheduled Assembly meeting to nominate Ministers was also axed. It is the fourth time the deadline has been missed. DUP MP Edwin Poots said: "There is not going to be a breakthrough which will lead to nominations today.

Political parties have until 4pm today, 29 June, to restore power sharing in Northern Ireland. Discussions have been ongoing to resolve outstanding issues to form an Executive. However, Sinn Fein said the DUP have not moved to "address the issues of rights, equality and respect". MLA John O'Dowd said: "The DUP knows what needs to be done.
