Man Shot In Both Legs In West Belfast

A man has been shot in both legs in west Belfast.

He was attacked in the Monagh Road area just after 10pm on Tuesday, 17 January.

He was taken to hospital to be treated and is believed to be in a stable condition.

Alliance Justice spokesperson Trevor Lunn MLA condemned the attack.

He said: "Once again Turf Lodge is in the news because of gun crime. There can be no justification for the shooting of this man and I condemn it in the strongest terms. To put an end to these criminal activities I would call on anyone with information to pass it to the police on the 101 number or anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111."

Man Shot Dead In West Belfast
Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was shot dead in west Belfast. The attack happened at a house in Glenwood Court, Poleglass, at around 8.15pm on Thursday, 20 October. He has been named locally as Joe Reilly, aged 43.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
