Man Arrested Over Conan Anderson Murder
A man has been arrested by police investigating the murder of Conan Anderson.
Mr Anderson, 22, from east Belfast, died in hospital on Saturday, 18 February, from injuries he sustained during a night out in Belfast over two weeks ago.
Detective Chief Inspector Peter Montgomery said: "The 26-year-old was arrested in the Belfast area this morning and is currently helping police with their enquiries.
"Conan tragically passed away on Saturday afternoon after being admitted to hospital with serious head injuries on the evening of Monday 6th February.
"The matter was reported to police on Wednesday 8th February and enquiries established that an incident had occurred in the early hours of Monday morning in the Arthur Lane area of Belfast.
"I would continue to appeal to anyone with any information or anyone who was in the Upper Arthur Street, Montgomery Street and Arthur Lane area on Monday 6th February around 5:30am who may have information which could be of assistance to my investigation to contact detectives at Musgrave Street quoting reference number 1034 08/02/17."

A public consultation is to open on plans for a regeneration project in Belfast City Centre worth almost £400million. The redeveloped area will include a mix of retail, leisure, residential, community and office space. As soon as the development is complete it could create around 3,500 jobs in the area.

Tunnel Breakthrough For Belfast Sewers Project
Nearly a mile long and 40 metres below ground, a key section of Belfast's deepest tunnel was completed yesterday as the tunnel boring machine (TBM) made its breakthrough at Duncrue Street. Capable of holding vast overflows of stormwater - up to four million gallons - it will reduce the risk of sewer flooding in the greater Belfast area.

Police make arrests following street violence in North Belfast
Two people were arrested in North Belfast on Monday morning as minor street violence erupted following a weekend of tension. Disturbances in the Arthur Bridge area of the Whitewell Road on February 11 followed reports that fireworks had been thrown from the White City area towards the Longlands housing estate.
