Talks To Form New Power-Sharing Executive Continue

The third week of talks in an effort to restore the power-sharing Executive are to continue today, 20 March.

Political parties and the British and Irish governments will resume the discussions and a decision must be made by 27 March.

If a decision has not been reached by the deadline there may be another election.

SDLP Leader Colum Eastwood said: "There have been positive bilateral discussions and good will on all sides to negotiate a settlement that will deliver a return to government but we now need to take things up a gear.

"The SDLP is here with our sleeves rolled up, ready to do business. The public expects no less from any party. It's time that we all got round the same table and started making firmer progress."
