PSNI Memorial Garden Officially Opens
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall have officially opened the PSNI's Memorial Garden in Belfast.
The Royals also unveiled the Police Service of Northern Ireland's Book of Remembrance, at Brooklyn, Police Headquarters.
The Memorial Garden and Book of Remembrance have recorded the names of police officers who have died or were killed directly as a result of their employment in the PSNI.
Chief Constable George Hamilton said: "This is a very special, but also sad day, for the families and PSNI as we remember those who have died. I am delighted that HRH Prince of Wales and HRH The Duchess of Cornwall have officially opened our Memorial Garden and unveiled the Book of Remembrance. This is a fitting tribute to our colleagues who have died in the course of their service and will ensure that their dedication to duty and sacrifice is never forgotten."

Titanic Centenary Events Remember Lives Lost
A series of events were held over the weekend to commemorate the 1,500 men, women and children who lost their lives when the Titanic sank on 15 April 1912. To mark the centenary of the sinking a service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving for the Titanic was held in St Anne’s Cathedral and a Requiem Mass was held in St Peter’s Cathedral, Belfast.

Stone throwers damage loyalist memorial
A loyalist memorial garden in east Belfast has been damaged following disturbances between two gangs in the early hours of this morning. The incident happened at around 1.30am on the lower Newtownards Road, when rival factions threw stones at each other. No one was injured, however the memorial garden at Pitt Place sustained serious damage.

Teen Arrested Over Security Alert In West Belfast
A teenager has been arrested following a security alert at a west Belfast police station. The incident occurred at Woodbourne PSNI station on Tuesday. Army bomb disposal experts attended the scene after a suspicious object was discovered. It was later declared an "elaborate hoax" by the police.
